SUMMER: DECEMBER - FEBRUARY
Lambent
Lambent
Warmth, light and a little more room to breathe. A collection inspired by the Australian summer, made to nourish the skin and bring a little more intention to the everyday.
Lambent describes a gentle, flickering light — the warmth of late afternoon sun filtering through the trees, or the last of the daylight resting on your skin.
The word comes from the Latin lambere, meaning to lick or lap. It brings to mind the movement of a flame, light that dances rather than burns.
It felt like a fitting name for this collection. Summer can be full of energy: longer days, warm evenings, time outdoors and a little more life happening beyond our front doors. But it can also be intense. Hot afternoons, strong sun and the feeling that there's always somewhere else to be.
Lambent is inspired by another side of summer. The quieter moments between the busy ones. Warm skin after a swim, a slow afternoon, the pleasure of stepping outside as the day begins to cool.
A reminder that we don't have to match the pace of the season to enjoy it.
CARING FOR YOUR SKIN IN SUMMER
The skin is most outward-facing in summer.
Longer days and warmer weather bring more time outdoors, but also more sun exposure, sweat and heat. Your skin may feel more comfortable with lighter nourishment, while areas exposed to the elements can become dry, sensitive or unsettled.
Summer care is about finding that balance: washing away sweat, keeping skin moisturised, wearing protective clothing and applying sunscreen. Pay attention to how your skin feels, rather than assuming it needs a complete change of routine.
Lambent brings together lightweight botanical nourishment and traditional herbs to make caring for your skin a simple, considered part of your summer days. These formulations are designed to feel comfortable in warmer weather, without adding unnecessary heaviness.
THE KEY HEROES OF THE INFUSION IN THIS COLLECTION
Rose, calendula, lavender, comfrey.
The plants we've brought together for our formulations each bring their own qualities. Chosen for their traditional uses in skincare, these herbs help shape the way each product nourishes and cares for the skin, while bringing a little of the plant world into your everyday ritual.
RED ROSE
Rose has a long tradition of use for the skin, where its cooling, astringent and soothing qualities make it particularly suited to delicate or irritated tissues. But Rose has always been about more than the physical body — it is traditionally considered a plant of the heart, associated with love, compassion, connection and emotional healing.
CALENDULA
Described as herbal sunshine, calendula is a gentle, golden herb traditionally valued for soothing, supporting and restoring the skin, particularly when it is irritated, inflamed or in need of repair. Its anti-inflammatory compounds, particularly flavonoids and triterpenoids, make it especially valuable for skin that has been exposed to the elements, including the sun.
LAVENDER
Lavender has a long history of use in skin preparations, traditionally valued for soothing irritated tissues and supporting the skin through minor wounds, burns and other discomforts. But perhaps its most familiar gift is its relationship with the nervous system — Lavender is traditionally calming, relaxing and supportive when the mind has become busy or overstimulated.
COMFREY
Comfrey has earned its traditional name of knitbone through its long history of use for supporting the repair of damaged tissues. Applied externally, it is valued for its soothing, tissue-supportive and regenerative qualities, making it a beautiful addition to preparations created for skin that needs extra care.
